FAQ's

1. Do you work with customers stones?

No. We are not able to work with customer stones. To assure quality control of items of jewellery produced we only work with gemstones purchased from reputable gemstone suppliers.


2. Are your diamonds conflict-free?

Yes, I purchase my stones from a reputable dealer with conflict-free guarantee.


3.  How can I find my ring size?

The best is to have your ring size done by a jeweler or in the jewellery section of a large store (eg, Walmart).


4. What do I do if my ring is too large/small?

Contact me within 5 business days to discuss the problem.  There would be a fee for resizing and shipping based on the  design of the ring.


5.  What guarantee do you have?

All items of jewellery purchased from this site are guaranteed for a period of 12 months, from the date of purchase, against faults in materials and workmanship, irrespective of the country of purchase. Your item will be repaired or replaced free of charge, provided that the fault falls within the terms of this guarantee. Damage and/or defects caused by fair wear and tear, accidents, use which is unreasonable or inconsistent with KateSzabone's instructions, dismantling or repair by persons other than authorised KateSzabone repair specialists are not covered by this guarantee. Cost of shipping too and from our shop in Whitby Ontario Canada are the resposiblity of the customer.


6.  How long will a custom order take?

Custom orders can take as little as 2 to 3 weeks.  Special stone orders are based on availability from my supplier and can take up to 4 weeks. 


7. Do you require a deposit on a custom order?

Yes, I require a deposit of 50% of the final price, not including shipping charges.  


8.  Will I see a picture of my custom ring before final billing?

Photos of your finished ring will be sent to you for approval.  Upon approval you will be billed the final amount plus shipping.


9. How long will delivery take?

Express post is used for all Custom orders and orders over $100.  This service takes 2-3 business days to the USA and 3-6 for overseas.  Depending on where you live in Canada, express post takes 1-4 business days.


10.  Is there tracking and insurance on my item?

Express post is traceable, requires a signature and has up to $500 insurance.


11. Are there faster shipping alternatives?

We can ship by UPS or FedEx.  This service costs between $68-130 depending on where you live and whether it is overnight or one day service.  It is traceable and has up to $500 insurance coverage.


12. What do I do if my parcel does not arriving on schedule?

You can contact us and we will advise you of the situation depending on the type of shipping you used.  Canada Post requires us to initiate a trace.
